Announcing Hidden Photographer Proposals for gentlemen (or women) getting ready to pop the question! Capture the surprise, expression, tears and joy when our hidden photographer records this “once in a lifetime moment” with a telephoto lens. We will be there to take photos before, during and after the ring is offered. Imagine the delight when our photographer pops up to let your fiancee know this special moment has been captured to share with friends and family for life!
Here is Armando’s story who called me with a special request. He wanted me to pretend to be a photographer who was out practicing her skills on a Carlsbad beach and needed a subject. He met me at Starbucks and we set the plans in motion as he trustingly gave me the ring to hold. He wanted me to ask them to “pretend” to propose and then say “That doesn’t look quite right, why don’t you use this instead” — meaning the real diamond ring. Luckily, he had hired not only a photographer but a former actress as well. So I hung around the cliffs and captured some photos as they were walking on the beach, talking, kissing and even dancing!
So by the time they got close to me, I pretended I was on the phone and annoyed with my “friend” who was standing me up to practice our photography. I made sure they were close enough to hear our “heated” conversation.
Then I turned to them and told them how nice they looked and asked if they would mind posing for a few photos.
As dusk approached on this overcast day, I asked them if he would pretend to propose. They were really into this by now! Marie said she had thought about proposing with a watch that Armando wanted, but he had already bought himself the watch. So she pretended to propose first. (I love his fake surprised look…) And then he pretended to propose with the key ring on my makeup bag…..!
But then I told them the ring on the bag looked silly, so I ruffled through my camera bag and said to use “this” instead which was, of course, the real diamond!
Laughter and silliness suddenly turned to tears when I heard her say “This is a real ring…..” and then “Yes, of course!” At that point I was seen, but not heard, as I quietly snapped photos while they hugged, cried, laughed and shared their special moment.
